There are many tools available on the Internet that make fundraising simple and easy. We’ve already told you about Internet campaigns and ChipIn as simple means to collect funds and spread the word about your efforts.
Now, here's another website—Firstgiving.com—that helps people raise money for the cause of their choice. Firstgiving can be useful for those who may not quite be ready to build their own website and include a ChipIn button to collect donations.
Firstgiving allows a simple step-by-step process to create a website and link it to your nonprofit. All you need to do is send the link to everyone you know, and Firstgiving handles the transactions to ensure the donations get to your cause.
Two important points to note: Firstgiving does charge a small transaction fee for its service and requires that your organization have nonprofit status. Click here to learn about creating your own nonprofit travel organization.
