When trying to raise funds for your educational tour, you may find more open avenues if you are a nonprofit organization. A few perks include free access to venues, ability to work large stadium concessions designated for nonprofits only and tax exemption on the supplies you purchase.
We’ve heard reports from a number of EF Group Leaders that the process to become a nonprofit (albeit a bit tedious) is not actually difficult—it just requires some time and advance planning.
Having a recognized nonprofit travel organization is especially helpful if you plan on establishing a long-term travel program at your school.
