Those tacky pink plastic flamingos can be a huge nuisance—or a huge fundraiser.
Getting your travelers excited about fundraising is the first step in planning a successful event. Getting your community excited is the next step. "Flamingo flocking" is a sure-fire way to get everyone motivated about your trip and your fundraising efforts.
"Flamingo flocking" is quickly becoming one of the most popular, most successful fundraising ideas in some communities. The Boston Globe recently explained how flocking works as a fundraiser:
"Someone pays the club to place a flock of pink plastic flamingos on someone else's lawn. The recipient also gets a pink sign explaining the rules and an envelope. For a $20 donation to the team, the flamingos will be removed. For another $20, the team will 'flock' a friend or neighbor."
If you're looking for a creative fundraiser that will get your community involved—and create some buzz about your EF tour—"flamingo flocking" may be your best bet.
