Memories to last a lifetime

An educational tour leaves all kinds of lasting impressions. That was especially true for a  group of students from St. Joseph High School in Ironton, Ohio, who recently traveled with EF Educational Tours.

The Ironton Tribune last month wrote about the group's nine-day trip to Ireland, England, Wales and Scotland, asking them everything from their favorite place to visit, to their favorite food and their favorite transportation, to the differences in cultures.

The responses revealed their myriad memories. Windsor Castle, Edinburgh, London, Ireland and the Tower of London all rated as favorites. Some students also pointed out the overnight sleeping train, the green of Ireland, the punctuality of London, driving on the left-hand side of the road, tea time and even visiting the land of ancestors.

One student, though, summed up the trip appropriately when asked to "describe what meant the most about your travels":

“Getting to experience different cultures and going to all the sight-seeing places. Those are things you won’t forget.”

It might be something different for everyone, but everyone returns with memories to last a lifetime.
